Jimi Hendrix Poem by Andrew Matthews

Jimi Hendrix

Rating: 4.5

Riding on a wave of purple haze and supersonic
Psychedelic sound of the summers of love
And peace.
That's where we will remember you.
Your seemingly perfect music, that came from your legendary fingers
The timeless legacy you left us, we will make sure it always lingers.

You inspired generations of people to pick up the guitar
You gave it mystique and a new sense of purpose
You gave it and us so much...Thank you.

I wish I'd been a part of it all
The Summer of peace and love
But it was four years after your death
That I came into this world.

It would have been wonderful
To have seen what you would have become
But your life was cut tragically short
You returned to the Cosmos as one of its beautiful cohorts.
