Jellybeans Poem by Whit Leyenberger

Jellybeans

i have spilled my jellybeans

small hands slipped
jar rushing meets
unforgiving white kitchen floor

but no longer jellybeans
forming
quickly constellations
beautiful and untouchable
to think i once had a jar of candy

now entire floor
vibrantly discovered
colors smells pioneering

where they have not been
where they can not be

but i want jellybeans

hearing glutonous crackle
the luckiest vacuum in town
