if its illegal to love you
if its illicit to love me too
if loving is unconstitutional
then babe, id be better off a criminal

almost everybody disagree
they say our pair is a catastrophe
coz they fabricated a law
together we should never be

but you know it really dont matter
they cant kill a thing thats forever
let them talk, day by day
i wont let them come our way

if it needs be, then jaywalk to my heart
no rules can break us apart
coz its the rules that we will break
we will be convicts for love`s sake

jaywalk to my heart
make your way to me
defy the rules on the chart
teach them the meaning of liberty

even though there`s penalty
to your heart i would jaywalk too
and if by chance, i am found guilty
