The jingling sound of Radha's anklets are sweet musical notes to Krishna as she enters his abode. Radha's eyes are fixed on Krishna with mixed emotions as she walks in gracefully.
Stupefied at the sudden appearance of Radha,
All emotions gushed forth,
Like moon beams playing on the waves of the sea,
One whose love is only for his beloved Radha,
And one who has waited long for this moment,
Is the handsome Hari!
Harikrishna's face mirrored
The many splendoured emotions of love,
As Radhi looked into his countenance!
Wearing a long necklace of shining white pearls,
Like the stunning foams of river Yamuna,
Is the attractive Hari!
Harikrishna's face mirrored
The many splendoured emotions of love,
As Radhi looked into his countenance!
The dark, soft, beautiful body clothed with golden silk robe
Like the blue lotus stem
Sprinkled with yellow pollen dust,
Is the handsome Hari!
Harikrishna's face mirrored
The many splendoured emotions of love,
As Radhi looked into his countenance!
When the seductive glances met,
The emotions rose,
Like a pair of wagtails in a lotus pond!
Hari Krishna's face mirrored
The many splendoured emotions of love,
As Radhi looked into his countenance!
On the lotus-like beautiful face,
Dangle pretty earrings,
Like the Sun's brilliant ray.
The handsome Hari
With seductive lips smiles marvellously.
Harikrishna's face mirrored
The many splendoured emotions of love,
As Radhi looked into his countenance!
White flowers adorn the dark hair,
Knotted in style,
Like the white moon appearing amidst dark clouds.
With sandalwood ‘tilakam' bright on the forehead
Is the attractive Hari!
Harikrishna's face mirrored
The many splendoured emotions of love,
As Radhi looked into his countenance!
Looking at the handsome Hari
The body hair straightens up like bristles.
So passionate and ornamented
Is Krishna with glittering diamonds and pearls.
Harikrishna's face mirrored
The many splendoured emotions of love,
As Radhi looked into his countenance!
Poet Jayadeva's love song
Is like a jewel adorned by Harikrishna.
A devotee constantly immersed in prayer,
Is forever aided and guided.
Went through the poem 'Jayadeva's Geeta Govinda - A Love Song 22 - translated by you from Sanskrit to English I became delighted. The love between Radha and Krishna is eternal and it has been inscribed here touchingly. It may be quoted few lines... Stupefied at the sudden appearance of Radha, All emotions gushed forth, Like moon beams playing on the waves of the sea, One whose love is only for his beloved Radha, And one who has waited long for this moment, Is the handsome Hari! Harikrishna's face mirrored The many splendoured emotions of love, As Radhi looked into his countenance! Beautifully crafted and shared. Thank u a lot.
