It's Over Poem by Preston Mwiinga

It's Over

Rating: 3.5

You underestimated my soul,
Played games with my heart.
But I was not just a piece in your puzzle,
I was a whole, complete from the start.

You broke me,
But I found a way to mend.
I was in love,
But you were just pretending.

Now the game is over,
Time to part ways.
You may continue to play,
But remember love is not just a phase.

I release you from the cage,
Set you free like a bird.
I wish you well on your journey,
May your heart finally be heard.

I hold no grudges,
Just lessons learned.
I will move on,
And let my heart unburned.

Goodbye, my love,
You took me for granted.
But now I'm moving forward,
No longer enchanted.
