i love you like life its self
but im afraid to love
my heart is like tiny wings of a bird
though tthey have been broken from the dove

im scareed to get to close
i feel that i cant win
you'll love me for a while
then set me free

i lived so long on hopes and dreams
i dont know what to do
i dont think i can trust my heart
for it belongs to you

i know you'll only hurt me
yet i keep running back
between the paths of our hearts
thats a worn and beaten track

you've got my heart helds on a string
its breaking right in two
enough belongs to me to hurt
the rest belongs to you

i know that somewhere in your heart
theres a place for me
i just dont know how to find it
but, i'll find a way to make you see
