It Was You Who I Was Looking For Poem by Nathan Barkley

It Was You Who I Was Looking For

I woke up in the middle night.
As a falling star blinded me with it's light.
Trying to remember if my nightmare was something good
How could our love filled up this lonely room?
I wish I can go back to that darkness.

It's two in the morning,
I never thought I could feel like I am soaring.
I still remember you and me playing each other as fools.
Our love used us as tools.
Your black hair i can still smell.
Mysterious it was when it fell,
On your face.
There is no mistake,
When our lips touched our love took shape.
I wish I can go back to that darkness.

When you were here,
You made me lose control.
We both played our distinctive roles.
Passion took over our fears,
It was you who I was looking for.
Do you remember that night?
Where our lost of breath gave us a fright.
Where our embraces took us out,
Out of this dying world.
It was you who I was looking for.

I can't go back to sleep.
What a sleepless night.
It was a night where our hearts were in a fight.
To see who would give the greatest pleasure.
Nothing in this universe could not have measured,
The heat that traveled into each of our bodies.
I wish I can go back to that darkness.

If that night never had happen,
My life would still been empty.
You left my whole world shaky.
Just like that night I filled you with my love
I really want to embrace that darkness.
