It's You
The smiles,
The streams,
The hills,
The heights,
The winds,
The wings,
The years,
The tears,
The pains,
The gains,
The songs,
The waves,
The night,
The lights,
And the word lights my nights,
And then the silence wraps me in whites,
It is you...
A very passionate poem. All of the 'The's' are 'You.' I like the line about silences wrapping you in whites. It evokes images of surrender to 'you, ' of bedsheets, of innocence. Unique writing style.
