It's Not You, It's Me Poem by Sarah Wilson

It's Not You, It's Me

It's not you, it's me,
I just wasn't ready,
To be treaty so badly.

It's not you, it's me,
You refer to me as ‘she',
Always so testy.

It's not you, it's me,
You deny my beauty,
Thinking I'm too curvy.

It's not you, it's me,
Thought you were a sweetie,
I assumed wrongly.

It's not you, it's me,
You're so wrapped up in vanity,
You think I'm unworthy.

It's not you, it's me,
You never compliment me,
Do you even like me?

It's not you, it me,
I can't stand your negativity,
It's rubbing off on me.

It's not you, it's me,
I just couldn't see,
That we should never be.

You so readily agree,
That I have a theory,
It's not me, it's thee.
