It's Not That He Doesn't Care

Rating: 5.0

I thought I knew the reason why
As I sadly killed a dragonfly
When rescue’d been my whole intent
His legs in sap like firm cement
That maybe God won’t intervene
Not ‘cause He wants to stay unseen
But simply ‘cause His strength’s too great
To know Him, we’ll just have to wait.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this after attempting to help a dragonfly. Instead, I just made things worse for him- -his legs got horribly mangled and broken as I tried to help- -that's when it hit me that maybe that's why God doesn't stop the madman- -if He tried to intervene it would be like a nuclear bomb going off- -just food for thought- -nothing more.

Being an atheist I can only judge this poem on style, rhythm and ability to communicate. I notice I am the only one to rate him so far it's a 10
