It's Here Poem by Isha Trivedi

It's Here

In the cars that crash and the cliffs that collapse,
And the fires that kill and the fevers that relapse,
Death is hiding
Watching
Waiting…
You need not be afraid
We’ll all be brought down
By blade
Or grenade
Or from being betrayed
Open closed doors and let it float by,
See it now or see it when you die.
The one common fear
Fear of the unknown
Face reality at others’ deaths
Not at your own.
“Live for the afterlife, for eternity, ” they claim,
Live life as you wish: death is no fair game.
Stand on the ground of principle,
Stray from the ground of the typical.
Keep to those you trust,
Stay forever objective and just.
Death does not judge
Nor do I
Know who I am?
I’m Death’s spy.
