It Never Leaves Poem by William Levy

It Never Leaves

Rating: 4.5

Loneliness sets in and
I light a match,
burn a cigarette
and wait to be slowly murdered

I'm so terrible
I will never get my point across
I want the world to know
I breathe
I see
I hear
I taste
I move
I speak
I act
I re-act
I am a man that has something to offer
if anything at all

I will be what I was meant
to be

I hope to find something along the way though
because if time stops
I will fly away forever
into a dark sea
into a void
of hopelessness

I live unsatisfied
with this
with that
with every damn thought
with every idea
with every inch and fiber of my being
I fear I will be let loose

As I call to the one I consider
My God
I realize how evil I am

I am selfish
I am lustful
I am addicted
I am upset
I am hateful
I am the one they tell you about
the one who has a mind with the ability
to destroy
to kill
to create everything you fear

It's a cycle that leads me here
I am not always like this though

If you find me in a time of
hope
you will know that I live
and will continue to
not on my own merit

Dieing tonight would not be so bad after all...
