It May Happen

soon it may happen

it may happen very soon

a golden light starts spilling

like cream from down the moon

a golden light starts spilling

for the wake and for the dead

all the children laughing

like the colour, cherry red

soon it may happen

if you're very very still

the clouds will tilt and then they'll spin

and you'll be who you will

who you will that's dancing

and who you will that's glad

and not for once a single thing

that's even slightly sad

so wait upon the seasons

waiting to be found

one Christmas with no reason

the earth will come around

to all the light that's spilling

from the gardens of the sun

and it will be so thrilling

when all the sorrow's done.
