It Happens All The Time... Poem by BTS Chocolate

Another gray day goes by
Life goes on
Same old routine
This ancient volume sits alone on the oily table waiting to be opened up
Answers to be filled on my paper befriends the ancient text
The sudden gasp of my teacher
Oh my gosh stutters from her mouth
As always my head swings around
Her face so crushed in her delicated hands, face close to the device that sits sliently infront
He's passed she replies softly
The guy with the ponytail
The quick slience in the air as the people around me gasp
The memories flood back to me
The man with a cap, the man with a smile on his face, the man with a voice as deep as rich dark chocolate
The teacher who know me as Yost
The teacher who brought such calmness to every classroom
He may have not been a true teacher
That didn't matter to the kids who loved him as a kid could love a phone
As I come back to reality my head turns towards my dear friend
Eyes lost in her own world
Papers and books sliently waiting to be written and read
It happens all the time she replies
Why though?
Why could this happen to such a wonderful guy?
The words of her voice echos in my head
It happens all the time.......
Another day goes by......
Another beautiful soul lost.....
