It Happened So Fast Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Though this has taken us some time
Yet to me, our love, happened so fast
Our union started right from across the boundaries, over the oceans of waters, over the skies-blue, black or brick red.
But it looks to me that everything happened so fast.
Now that I found myself in your kind accommodating arms
That joy just started and knows no bound.
Everything happened just so fast.

My love is yours
And yours is mine
We leave for now and for ever
We shall cherish this love like our existence
We shall protect it with all our vigor
And not let be preying eyes of outsiders come in
Love shall be our watchword
Even when we are not together
Near apart or far apart
Believe me, everything happened so fast.
