It All Over Now Poem by Cassandra Hooper

It All Over Now

I used to know a boy
Who suffered through pain
But day after day
He smiled all the same
He had so much sorrow
So much misery to hide
No one ever thought
It would end in suicide
But he loaded the gun
With a single bullet
His eyes saw the trigger
And his heart screamed “pull it”
He pulled the trigger
And fell to the ground
His eyes closed forever
He died without a sound
Now so many are crying
And wishing he’d come back
The halls will be filled students
Dressed in white and black
