Is this what it feels like
to be a slave?
Moved from place to place
never to have a say?
Is this what it feels like
to starve?
A hole eating away
inside you beging to be filled?
Is this what it feels like
to be alone?
Seperate, hallow and aching
to be with someone, anyone?
Is this what it feels like
to be scared?
Heart pounding in your ears
words stuck in your throat?
Is this what it feels like
to hate?
Without thought, eyes blazing
ready to hunt, hurt, kill?
Is this what it feels like
to love?
Whole, aglow happy
with purpose, with hope?
