Is this for real?
Are you for real and truly exist,
Or are you merely a figment of my fertile imagination?
Does our love actually exist
Or are we simply living a lie?
Perhaps one day
I will open my eyes and realise
That all this was just a dream,
That you and I were never together
The ‘us' that we thought we'd created
Never was...
What we thought existed,
Although it always felt surreal,
Was actually just a dramatic act
The on screen characters bound to disappear
For they were just folks in a trance...
And
The parallel universe
The alternate reality
Never was...
