Is It Good? Poem by Marilyn Jean

Is It Good?

I am quite lucid about next
Here, the answer really is no
The day was too good for me
Demands are soon to pile up
Reproaches could make it behind
Then silence already wraps all

This is all too predictable
I'd like to paint or sleep a bit
I'd love a laugh or a cuddle
But I am here in my sad corner
Because I've had a few hours free
And you decide to punish me

This freedom offends you
But you make a mistake
See, I am just me
The woman who enjoys singing
What do you enjoy, that is not me?
Tell me?

Why are we this strange couple
We are now and have been all along
Not even a spark between us ever
And so, despite us warming a bed
Now, then and again

So guess what? Next
I retreat in a feeble dream
The one that dwells in my heart
Coming out at night often unexpected
But by day always with a smile
Calling me to my delight

Pending they will be letting me in
I am not sure yet, If they will
I keep belonging to a linger zone
And so it is meanwhile, right here
We reached crunch time

Frowning and rebuking comments
Silence and banging steps
Enters my hubby's meltdown
Is it good?

No, no and NO
