Inversion Poem by Cody Simpson

Inversion

In the heat of summer,
As the warmth makes me sweat,
I think of our winters
And the clouds greyly set.

A sheer expanse of marble
Between night and day
Hangs fluffy eiderdown
Concealing the rays.

In those terse times
I love beside the fire
Before drags out from nowhere
April’s funeral pyre.
