Into Me

When you stare my way
You never look *at* me –
You see right *through* me
*Into* me.

My most private thoughts
Are all splayed out
As though on an operating table
Making you able to inspect and dissect
My most private feelings

This sensation leaves me reeling
And feeling slightly scared
I don’t know if it’s magic or science
Whether it’s an ethereal connection
or some cataclysmic destruction
This ability – to sense my fragility
Coming at me like an atomic bomb

When you stare my way
You never look *at* me –
You see right *through* me
*Into* me.

Connecting the invisible dots
Knowing answers without doubt
Feeling more and more unstable
Knowing you see all my defects
Nothing concealing

My macabre - unappealing
A match of seduction where I’m impaired
Resisting futile – I’ve turned to compliance
It’s an overwhelming sensation
Unearthing my weakness & temptation
In all sensibility – this is my true debility
Your powers’ too strong.
