Internal Love Poem by Exequiel Consolacion

Internal Love

Sometimes I'm a hunter,
Sometimes I'm a thief.
Maybe I'm a devil,
And angel underneath.
Sometimes I'm weak,
Sometimes I'm strong.
Maybe I'm lonely,
And don't know where i belong.

Sometimes things are meant to be,
Sometimes things are meant to last.
I have to think about now,
And stop living in the past.
You can't love me,
And I know why.
You're with someone else,
It makes me want to cry.
My life is just a lie,
But things happen for a reason.
You've got a guardian angel,
And I've got a lurking demon.

I rate this poem 5/5. Are you a student? As a teacher I've never read a poem as powerful as this one. Excellent!
