Intense Sense Of Divine Absence.

The consciousness which enjoys
the sense of divine presence
in a mystical experience,
now suffers under an equally intense
sense of divine absence.
The senses are cleansed and humbled
and the energies and interests of the self
are concentrated upon transcendental things.
