Insanities. Poem by Driss Ezzireg

Insanities.

Rating: 5.0

Soft drinks are wild.
They can drive a child
To the sloppiest sides
Of insanity.
Fast food is risky.
It can kill a bull
For a mouthful
Of notoriety.
Movies can box you
In a cage too dark
You embark on
A fake identity.
TV is a nasty hook.
It keeps your look
As full as a book
Of inanities.
Social nets are a commodity
That bets on blitheness
To convince one
Of verities.
Explications you might consider
Outrageous, nonconstructive.
But what would be the impact
Were they innocently exact?
Insanities?
