Inkblots Poem by Nancy M. Godfrey

Inkblots

Rating: 5.0

Inkblots of tears
Scribbled over-
Literature gazes
Persuasive fears-
Heartfelt words
Fall on stark pages
The core of beauty
And strength...
While pain within rages-
Thrust of darkness
Wants to win
Demons conquer
Mortal sin...
Shadows impersonate
Seconds swirl
Laden cloud
Unbaked bones-
Looms defiantly
Proud...
Villain and hero
Stuck in stories
Untold...
Crystallized stones
Broken in pieces
Virtue sold...
Breath on flame
A subtle wordsmith
Ignites the night-
His quest is not for fame...
Inkblots scribbled over
Spill metaphoric rays
A story unfolds
Words are felt-
Within the splendid
Nakedness of light.
