Injured Birds Poem by Res John Burman

Injured Birds

Rating: 4.5

Injured birds break my heart

Like injured innocence
Losing the gift of flight

If only one could cradle
Them in warm palms
Heal with the touch of love

Breath fresh confidence
Into their timid breasts

Their recovery would mend my heart!
