Indeference Poem by Teresa Dearing

Indeference

Rating: 5.0

My eyes watched you from afar,
With only love and desire,
Hoping for some small kindness.
I could not have loved you more.

Callously you ignored me,
Years of your insensitivity,
Have turned my love to anger,
And for you I weep no more.

Now that the worm has turned,
You beg hopeless at my door,
While I, no longer the fool,
Open that door, never more.

My eyes see you from afar,
With apathy, I see who you are,
Not even worthy of my pity,
For you I weep no more.
