In The Loop Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

In The Loop

Can't believe the foolishness in this country
Everyone thinks, 'it can't happen to me'
Nothing but herd mentality
As they stare down the barrel of world war three

Waited sixty years now my pensions due
One more payment and I'll be better than you
For I've got a dog box in the suburbs too
Don't want to risk that 'cause I'm special its true

An ant does ne' ken its just an insect, I 'suppose
Follow, submit that's all that it knows
Though about to be squashed under boot and toes
Goes about its life unaware of incoming blows

Nested software loop, extrapolation
You are a program, just an iteration
Like a cockroachs' with more sophistication
So much for your god and devine creation
