In The End Poem by Brianna Trombley

In The End

Rating: 5.0

In the end will you feel this life was worth it
That you always gave your best, never gave up or quit
That the choices you made were the right ones
That when you look back your regrets are none
That you were the best person you could be
Never made anyone feel inferior or weak
That you loved with all you had inside
Never put money ahead of integrity and pride
In the end will you feel comfort and complete
Ready to leave this world, by His side take your seat
Ready to let go of the ones that mean so much
Whose life you gave purpose and hearts you touched
Or in the end will you feel like your life has no meaning
That you never got to know what your life had to hold
That to the devil your life you should not have sold
That the way you treated everyone around you was cold
That you never knew love or gave anyone a chance
That unless they were rich, they didn’t even get a glance
In the end will you feel scared to face the Lord
Disgraced by all the hurt you’ve cause and wrong you’ve done
Will you hold your eyes on the ground wishing you could run
Will you wish you could go back and fix the things you broke
Wish you could go back and listen to what the preacher spoke
The end is unavoidable, a time to look and see what we’ve become
It’s up to us to determine, how we feel when our day comes
