In The Context Of Easter Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

In The Context Of Easter

After a flood of "Hosannas", you were crucified O Lord!
You, for a moment, pleaded with Father to take away the cup bitterest
In bitter pain, you wept aloud, "Why did Thou forsake me? "
O Jesus, you uttered the anguished syllables of the multitude
At the last moment, in happy surrender, you whispered fulfillment
The entire Humanity would love to believe in Resurrection magnificent
That belief is fed by heroic hope, set free from Satanic armada accurst
Let us rage against blasphemous currents, and sing "Hallelujah", love-lit
