In Soft Passing Poem by David Wood

In Soft Passing

Rating: 4.8

All alone, I sat on a sandy beach listening
To the waves lapping against the shore line
In the afternoon sun, gradually falling asleep
In the heat of the day.

In my dream Tina and Clara dressed all
In white floated towards me, smiling
Tina said ‘come, take my hand, I've
Come to lead you home.'

I looked, and stretching out my hand and
Drifted up towards her, looking back
I saw myself lying in the sand content and
Asleep, and I sighed.
