In Search Of Knowledge Poem by Michael P. Johnson

In Search Of Knowledge

Man’s sought knowledge, always desired
Wondering always why?
What must one do, what is required?
In order not to die

But for the blessing of Heaven’s grace,
The wonder of true life
Ability, to see God’s face
Ending man’s path of strife

Through Jesus Christ, Jesus, alone
A perishing soul can save
Still stumbling on life’s Cornerstone
Man lost, ends in the grave

The bible makes this secret plain
Reveals crystal clear
One must through faith be born again
From death to have no fear

Jehovah’s Lamb, on Calvary’s tree
Life’s source, Salvation’s well
Was sacrificed for you and me
To save from death and hell

But who’ll believe God’s message sent?
Accept this truth as fact
Be willing from sin to repent
And make with God a pact

Allow the bible, be life’s guide
Quit sinning from today
Bid God’s Spirit, dwell inside
And walk Salvation’s Way

Though one may fail, from time to time
May need a helping hand
Turning one’s back on selfish crime
Jesus will help us stand…..

With commitment and faith, one can win over the shortcomings and achieve his ultimate goal. We can learn a lot from these pronouncements: Allow the bible, be life’s guide / Quit sinning from today / Bid God’s Spirit, dwell inside / And walk Salvation’s Way.
