In Nature A Few Mammal Life Span Variables

Rating: 5.0

mice very short lifespan can nibble away about 3 years
weasels skinny furry will weasel out in max 1 to 2 years
hamsters are cute common kids pets live quick 2 to 4 years
rabbit much loved cuddly bunnies have snuffed it in 5 years

wolverines fierce bred tough will fight it out for 14 years
wild tigers 50% dead by age 1 can live as adults 14 years
brown bears born free only human enemies live for 25 years
gorillas jungle mature slow breed late live in wild 35 years

Siberian bats 4-8 gram size little guys night fly for 41 years
species is thought to have a declining population due to forest
degradation fragmentation and loss of roost sites in caves
forest loss primary cause is urban development deforestation

wildfires feature in decline of Siberian bats disturbances
by cavers are known to cause mortality in winter roosts
apparently Siberian bats are not safe from cave visitors
humans love to disturb animals wherever animals roast
