In A Pyramid Poem by Srecko Kosovel

In A Pyramid

Like a corpse in a marble
tomb.
Gold dollars in human hearts.
Our eyes ache from ash.
An electric motor
whirs, whirs, whirs
on my teeth
The Fire beneath the rock burns, burns
burns.
The socialisation of golden production.
The end of evolution.
The end, oh man!
Oh man!
Man with a gold heart
stands
on a white pyramid.
