Immortality Poem by Adams King

Immortality

Where shall I weep
upon my own grave
o! foolish me
I forgot I'm dead

No more tears
nor the songs of sorrow
till the appointed time
for mortals to be tried

Away from mortal world I go
to face the trials of hades
and after three days
if conquerous be my conquest

I shall be ordained
death's own begotten
For out of death I live
nullifying the power of grave

and death be no more
for a dead man never dies
O! sweet immortality
the hope for every mortal man
