Immaterial Love Poem by Abhay Vignesh Liginlal

Immaterial Love

When was it that I had seen you before
Was it in this life or another
Or was it in my dreams in this life,
Perhaps your face was hidden beneath your veil;

Though I sing the same song in every life
I sing again and again about dreams, though no one hears it,
The pendulum keeps returning embracing eternity
Abundance of feelings keep making my nights sleepless;

Your face keeps changing in every life my love
Only your soul remains the same,
This life alone is not ours to share
You are my soul mate and therefore my love is endless,
I am born again and again to fulfill my promise of love;

Blessed with mortal lives and an immortal love
My soul keeps wandering from shore to shore
While the eternal question is always your answer,
Let my soul be buried beneath the sands of time
Even then my love will float away down the stream of these lyrics.
