I see an image of you
So clearly in my mind
The boy inside the man
Gentle and unrefined

The knight in shining armor
The child yet so insecure
The warrior brave and true
Yet frightened and so unsure

Eyes that are lit by an inner fire
Still carry sadness from the past
A charming smile of innocence
Hiding such wisdom long since passed

The loving caress of your fingers
The tenderness of your kiss
The warmth emanating from your soul
Are impossible to resist

I know the pain in your struggle
To blend the two into one
But I can allready see what will be
When your destiny is won

And if you will only let me
I will be forever by your side
Long after this time is over
For our love can't be denied

No longer bound by time
Nevermore to part
Together shall our souls be
Now that you are in my heart

Please listen to the emotions
I long so now to share
Let's journey on together
Wherever fate may dare

Standing ever in your stead
I'll be your truest friend
