I give you roses of Scarlett
Dresses of blue
And chains of gold
Because I love you
And awkward stare, a long pause,
I know that I am the reason you try to avoid
Our eyes meeting, but I can hear your heart beating
Your lips tremble, your checks are flushed
Your words jumbled, your talk is rushed
And then your soft lips I kiss
Time stands still
And when it ends it’s you I miss
