I'm Sorry Poem by Dee Gey

I'm Sorry

I'm sorry, I whispered
As the tears slipped down my cheeks.
I never meant to hurt you,
But my actions spoke
Louder than my words.

I'm sorry, I shouted
As the anger boiled inside me.
I didn't mean to lash out,
But my emotions
Got the best of me.

I'm sorry, I wrote
In a letter filled with regret.
I wish I could take back,
The pain I caused
With my careless words.

I'm sorry, I vowed
To never let my ego get in the way.
To always think before I speak,
To show you the love
And respect you deserve.

I'm sorry, I promise
To learn from my mistakes.
To be a better person,
To never let sorry be
The hardest word to say.

I'm truly sorry for my actions,
And the words that left scars.
I'll do whatever it takes,
To make things right
And heal your heart.

I really am sorry,
I hope you can forgive me;
And we can start anew.
I promise to be better,
To always consider you.
