I am fighting a million battles
Inside and out
I ll win each one of them
That's for sure, without a doubt

A lot is trying to drown me under
I keep aloft despite the thunder
A breather, sometimes it comes my way
And then a huge set of waves, sways it away

My silence fights the people
I survive the taunts
I hate the fake
And all their flaunts
They give me to take
And take I do
They ll all one day wonder, where I silently flew
Flew out of their lives, far and away
Winning the battle, without a say

I am fighting a million battles

I fight the distance
That bleeds my heart
I fight the thoughts
That try to make me fall apart
I fight the unknowns
They are too close
To the ones I love
How and when they might approach, who knows
I fight the loneliness
That tries to tear me
I threaten it back...oh dear! Ohhhh dear me!

I fight for the love, I love the most
I fight the fear of many many ghosts
I fight the shadows long and tall
No matter how hard they try, I ll make them all feel small
I fight the darkness, I bury it deep inside
I will never ever give up, without putting up a decent fight
I fight the doubts that play my mind
My heart its such, ever so kind
I fight the fire, that kindles inside
I sometimes even fight the dreams, that can make me slide

I try, I try, so hard to bring on the joys
In my life and life of others, yet am treated as a toy
I fight the feelings
Even when they are so strong
I remind myself
To who, each one of us belongs
I fight the fate
And the closed gate
I fight the melancholy
I fight it all, with a hope
I know I ll win, in the end, eventually

Even with all these fights and unexpected trials
I lift up my face and put up many beautiful smiles
