If You Want Poem by David Boyce

If You Want

If you want

If you want my respect,
You must earn it,
If you want the knowledge,
You need to learn it.

If you want a good body,
You need to build on it,
If you want to win,
You must fight it.

If you want to cry,
You need a reason,
If you want to grow food,
You need the seasons.

If you have a chance,
You can always take it,
If you want a wish,
You only need to make it.

If you want to work with spirt,
You need to relax,
If you want to build family trees,
You need to find the facts.

If you want to work with your guides,
You need to learn not to hide,
If you want to give messages,
You need to sense us at your side.
