If Only-Tribute To Nelson Mandela Poem by Aanuoluwa Adebanjo

If Only-Tribute To Nelson Mandela

Rating: 3.0

The crows cannot fly
The birds cannot sing
The fishes cannot swim
The sea cannot flow
The ocean cannot wave
The trees cannot move
It is the death of a deity
The island is lonely
The waters are stagnant
They keep mourning for the lost hero
The pigeons are still searching
If the lost could still be found
The peacock cannot wave its beautiful feathers
It is the dimise of a great warrior
'If only' has become a general song
If only the dead can be awaken
If only the lost can be found
If only the grave can open up its mouth to vomit the valiant
If and only if only
