If Only They Could See Poem by Aanuoluwa Adebanjo

If Only They Could See

They never really looked
They didn't actually watched
They never noticed a thing
They just couldn't see

They said you're bad
They said you're fake
They said you're a player
They just couldn't see

They simply talked
They simply judged
They simply concluded
They never tried to see

If only they could see
And not just judge you
If only they cared enough to bring about a change
Only then would they know you were never who they thought you were
