If I Had The Time Poem by Katherine Perry

If I Had The Time

If i had the time to find a place
I could sit and think for awhile
All alone with myself face to face
Maybe put my whole life on trial

If i had the time to sit and look
I could sort through all my pictures
I would place some of them in a photo book
And the rest on the walls with fixtures

If i had the time I would go and run
Even though i would not know where to
But wherever I'd go I'm sure I'd have fun
Because that is something I've been wanting to do

If i had the time i would pick up the phone
I would then dial my mom and dad's number
Because It's been awhile since I've been home
And I'm sure they have been starting to wonder

If i had the time i would find a chair
Then i would sit and read a good book
A mystery, a crime or a romance i don't care
And not worry about how much time it took

If i had the time in my daily life that rushes so
It might be then that i would see my soul
And realize it's not good to be always on the go
For there's never enough time to reach any of my goals

If I could reach just one
I would not mind

If I had the time!
