Idle Hours Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

Idle Hours

Sitting under a thick canopy of trees
At leisure and in idle peace
My heart flirts like a butterfly
And softly settles down on the rustling leaves.

Sitting under the thick canopy of leaves
With my hair caressed by the gentle breeze
I thank God for this wonderful recreation-
In a complex world, our own creation.
