Iced Water Drops Poem by Prince Folorunsho Adegoke

Iced Water Drops

Rating: 5.0

The wind that came with the rain
Scolded us all through the night
We sought for shelter under our duvet
As strokes of water pour from the clouds
Sounding like the nailing of bamboos
No better time to rethink the thoughts
Interceding with the air not to wipe
The inhabitants of this planet away
In the midst of this intercession
The angry Lightening struck again
This time as though an Iroko tree fell
Now the night seems longer than usual
Keeping us frozen in time and darkness
Anticipating a normal day not a desert

When it's cold outside there's nothing better than getting warmth from the love of your life. A great poem.
