Ice Poem by Barry A. Lanier

Ice

Palpable ice in my veins,
Chilled by the grip of it's reign.
Release my spirit and these chains,
Consecrate all of my pain.
Slice after slice, warm release,
Slipping away crimson stain and peace.
The drain of my pain,
No longer the same.
The chain is broken.
