I Won'T Give Up Poem by Singleton M. Tate

I Won'T Give Up

I was born, with a Purpose,
Yet, it seems unfulfilled,
I'm discerning some anger,
Towards me, I'm no stranger.

I have hopes, crazy dreams too,
Seen my future, have you?
Overwhelmed at times,
Many designs, 'Lucid Colors Divine'

You think, I'm flaunting this,
That I'm wanting, to cause a scene,
I can't stand back and be just Black,
'Jaded by Ignorance' No, there's no lack.

Here I Stand, take a good look at me,
I'm what I'm suppose to be,
I won't be any other,
'I Won't Give Up'
I'm your 'Sister' not your 'Brother'
