I Wish Poem by Serena Blackinton

I Wish

I wish I had the courage to simply tell you I love you
But the words don't seem to want to form
I wish I could imagine a future without you
It would be like having rain without a storm.
I feel you here with me even when you're far away
I feel the warmth of your hand in mine
I sense your voice speaking in every debate
My mind and yours through space align.
Your face brings me a smile with rays of the sun
And eyes that sparkle into mine like stars
As a magnet I am drawn only to you, the one
Who'd take me with him to Mars.
Do you ever sit around and wonder about me
About where I am right now?
Do you ever wish that you and me
Could be together somehow?
