Why do you try to change me?
Try make me who you want me to be.
Because you know that it's a challenge
My spirit was meant to be free

I try to tell you
It doesn't matter what you say
I won't change a single thing about myself
My opinion will not sway

You can try all you like
But don't expect me to agree
Because if you don't like the way I am
Then get away from me.

I will not change myself for you
Or for anyone who is not happy
With the person they thought they knew before
And soon realised that person was me.
